Hana Engineers and Consultants, LLC, a geotechnical, environmental, and construction management firm headquartered in Richmond, VA, was recently awarded a highly competitive environmental contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District.

Hana and joint venture partner Bay West were notified by the Army Corps that Hana-Bay West 8A II JV, LLC was one of three small businesses selected for the Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC).

The JV will be contracted for architectural and engineering services related to hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste and military munitions projects. The three selected firms will compete for each task order under the $200 million capacity contract, which runs through 2028.

Hana-Bay West JV Managing Member Jeff Zoeckler, who will serve as the program manager for the contract, said the joint venture, which was formed as part of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) Mentor-Protégé Program, has already delivered significant results for many federal clients.

“For a relatively new company of just less than 10 years old to win this contract is truly an amazing achievement,” Zoeckler said. “It demonstrates the quality of people that we have and the reputation we are building in the industry. We look forward to serving the Baltimore District in providing the high-quality services the U.S. Army Corps has come to expect from our joint venture.”
