H. Marcus Kim, P.E.

President, Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Marcus has worked as a geotechnical engineer, designer, and project manager for multiple commercial and government projects in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. He has extensive experience and knowledge in the field of geotechnical engineering and project management gained from employment in both the private consulting and federal government sectors. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in North Carolina.

Marcus’ knowledge and expertise includes various aspects of geotechnical field sampling and investigation. He has provided engineering oversight for a variety of different construction activities and quality control/assurance field tests. He has performed engineering analyses and designs for various types of projects, including waterfront structures, retaining structures, and high-rise commercial buildings’ deep foundation systems. He has prepared engineering reports, design documents, and contract documents for projects with a high degree of complexity.

In addition to his technical work, Marcus has managed field investigation activities, multidisciplinary technical reviews, and project design teams, which included both government engineers and A-E engineers. His coordination and management capabilities include planning, budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, and briefing clients and project/program managers on the progress and status of their projects.
